Accreditation
The BUIHA Club Accreditation scheme is still under development and will be due for pilot later in the 2007/08 season. The scheme is to introduce, maintain and ultimately raise standards within BUIHA clubs by setting in place quality systems for areas such as administration, coaching, long term athlete development and player pathways to name but a few.
These concepts are not new to sport but the BUIHA is striving to push forward with the development of ice hockey at university level with ideas and initiatives to both challenge clubs and players alike in order to make the organisation more successful at every level. These ideas will also be prevalent in the BUIHA three year Corporate Strategy Document and BUIHA Improvement Plan that are also currently under development.
It is hoped that draft copies of all these documents will be available by the commencement of 2008 with firm implementation guidelines in place for the 2008/09 season and beyond.
