Join the Mavericks in Winter Wonderland…

The 8thannual Nottingham Mavericks IHC tour to the International Ice Hockey Centre of Excellence at the Finnish Institute of Sport - Vierumaki, will be departing from London Stansted Airport on Sunday, 13thDecember 2009.
The Mavericks have always invited members of other BUIHA clubs to join them at this exclusive camp. All levels of ability and experience are welcome - there’s a sprinkling of players from each of the Mavericks four teams.
The trip consists briefly of:
· 5 nights full board accommodation (lake-side log cabins);
· 11.5 hours ice-time (to include: coached sessions, scrimmages and games - tbc);
· Lake-side meal and sauna (with optional dip in the lake);
· Airport transfers (Finland);
· Strength & Conditioning sessions (gym);
· Swimming (indoor);
· Floorball and other indoor sports;
It is estimated that the above will cost approx £300-350.
Optional extras include:
· Mavericks official tour shirt: £30;
· Visit to the local city of Lahti - daytime (for discount hockey kit): Transport £10;
· Visit to Lahti - evening (for boogying): Transport £10;
· Winter activities (weather permitting): e.g. snowmobiling, ice karting etc, approx £70.
You are required to book and arrange:
Flights (Ryanair);
Travel Insurance;
UKairport transfers;
This trip is very highly regarded and has been enjoyed by in excess of 100 Mavericks players and guests. Vierumaki is an outstanding world-class facility with all sporting facilities (including a twin-pad arena), accommodation and restaurants etc, on-site.
In previous years we have sat down to meals with NHL stars including Sydney Crosby, in addition to players from Finland’s SMLiiga and entire teams from Adrian College - Michigan, USA, to name but a few. Notably, the Great Britain Senior Development Squad also visit Vierumaki for their annual summer training camp.
